Include some girls night party games at your next ladies only outing and create some fun and hilarious memories that your girlfriends will cherish for years to come. Games that are simple and can be played anywhere you go are ideal. Give one or two a try, and you're sure to be hooked!
Ring My Bell
Purchase an inexpensive bell and ring it to get everyone's attention. Next, ask a list of questions, and the first person to answer each gets a point. Whoever has the most points at the end is the winner. You can also give every woman her own bell so she can "ring" in her answer, rather than shouting it out.

- the oldest? (Only ask this one with a crowd that won't take offense!)

Cookie Cook Off
If you are having a girls night near a holiday, you can have a cookie cook off. This can be done in one of two ways. First, each attendee can bake her favorite cookies at home, and then bring a plate of the cookies to the party. As a group, you can have a taste-test contest to decide who has the absolute best cookie recipe.
You can also purchase premade dough or bake a bunch of plain sugar cookies ahead of time, and then have a decorating contest. Divide your guests into groups and provide plenty of decorating supplies. Time the teams and see who can decorate the best batch of cookies in five minutes. The best part of this game? The prize is that you get to eat the cookies!
Purse Treasure Hunt
One person should act as the game host. Create a list of common items you'd find in a woman's purse. These might include items like:
- Lipstick
- A mirror
- Gum
- Mints
- Tissue
- Hair clip
- Particular coins
- Credit card
- Coupons
- Shopping list
- Old receipt
The person hosting the game will call out one item at a time. The first woman to produce that item from her purse is awarded one point. Whoever winds up with the most points by the end of the game wins. Decide on some sort of prize for the winner ahead of time.
I Never
Playing "I Never" is another favorite. Some women can get pretty wild with this game, so be careful if alcohol is involved. The game tends to be played with one person saying "I never" and following it with a statement. For example, "I never speed on the freeway on the way to work." Everyone who has done what the statement mentions, must take a drink. For a non-alcoholic version, everyone who has done what the statement mentions must stand up and do the Hokey-Pokey as they turn around. A little silliness only makes the game more fun.
Guess Who
Learn things you never knew about your friends before! All you need is a small note pad and writing utensils.
- Give each of your gal pals a piece of paper, and ask them to write down something about themselves or something they've done that no one else knows about. For example, one friend might have had an exotic pet as a young girl, or another may have a birthmark in an unusual place. You can be as risqué or tame as you'd like with these facts.
- Have them fold up their notes and drop them into an empty bowl or glass.
- Take turns drawing out one note at a time, reading it to the group, and having everyone guess which friend wrote the note.
Play just for fun, or award a point to the first person who guesses correctly. The person with the most points can win a special prize, like a free cocktail or free dessert that the rest of the group chips in to purchase.
Beauty Queen
This game is best played during a girls night in party. Ask everyone to bring some clothes and accessories befitting of a beauty queen, from glittery tiaras to costume jewelry, feather boas, or even glam party dresses and shoes. Put all of the items in a large garbage bag or laundry basket. The game itself is played in a similar fashion as musical chairs. Sit in a circle and start the music or put a DVD in to play and begin passing the bag around the circle. When the music or movie stops, the person holding the bag must take out an item and put it on.
Continue like this, without removing anyone from the circle, until all of the clothing and accessories are being worn. Then make sure to take a few pictures of you and your glamorous beauty queen friends! If you'd like to crown a winner for this game, pick the person who is wearing the most or fewest items, or the one who looks most befitting of the title of beauty queen.
Who Am I?
There are two ways to play "Who Am I?" Both of them start out with someone writing down the names of famous people on Post-It notes, writing the names on the non-sticky side and creating enough so that each person can draw one. Choose celebrities who are well known for their mannerisms and style, or who are fairly simple and fun to emulate. Fold the sticky notes in half, place the names in a bowl and have everyone draw one, being careful that the notes don't all get stuck together.
For the first way to play, make sure that you and your friends do not look at the name you've drawn. Open the notes without looking, and have everyone stick the Post-Its to their foreheads. This way others can read the names, but no one can see her own. Take turns asking questions about who your celebrity might be, using only questions that can be answered with a "yes" or a "no." The first person to guess who she is wins the game.
For another take on this game, you can use plain paper instead of sticky notes for the names. Have each person draw a celebrity and look at the name. Then, throughout the evening, try to act like your chosen celebrity from time to time. Throw out a movie quote that the star might have said, recite lyrics from a musical celebrity, or try to mimic the star's signature style or quirks. When someone correctly guesses who you are, hand over your note with the celebrity name on it. At the end of the evening the person with the most notes wins the game.
Cocktail Creator
Like "I Never," this game can get rowdy fairly quickly. Play only one round unless everyone is planning to spend the night, or opt for a non-alcoholic version, which can be just as much fun.
To set up the game, put out a variety of liquids, from alcohol to juice and more. Set these out in an area where people can mix a concoction without anyone else seeing her, such as a corner of the kitchen. Choose a few common items mixed with some more unusual ones, such as:
- Vodka
- Rum
- Wine
- Flavored liqueurs
- Sparkling water
- Lemonade
- Orange juice
- Iced tea
- Tomato juice
- Milk
- Hot sauce
- Chocolate syrup
- Pickle juice
You'll also want to have lots of small cups or plastic wine glasses and some small spoons or stir sticks handy.
To play the game, the first person goes to the "bar" and creates a cocktail made up of two or three different ingredients. She then brings the cocktail in and everyone gets to take a sip. The first person to correctly guess the ingredients gets a point. If nobody guesses correctly, the cocktail creator gets the point for that round. Continue playing until everyone has had a chance to create a cocktail. At the end of the game, the person with the most points wins. You could give a nice prize for this game, such as a cocktail shaker, or go with something funny, like a bottle of Aspirin.

Set up your table with the supplies you'll need to make some youthful, simple craft projects. Remember playing with pipe cleaners? You could make all kinds of cool stuff with them! Pick up some pipe cleaners in all kinds of colors and bend them into flowers. You can make a bouquet to celebrate a guest of honor, or just create a souvenir of a great night out.
